Who we are…
In 1966, James Vaughn, founded Wyoming Asphalt Paving, in Wyoming, Michigan. Wyoming Asphalt later moved to Plainwell, MI., in 1979. Our family-owned company was started primarily as a residential asphalt paving company, but since has expanded to Commercial/Industrial and roadway. Subsequently, an asphalt manufacturing plant was constructed in 1979. Wyoming Asphalt could now manufacture asphalt for our projects and our products were also bought by 50 other companies located throughout Southwest Michigan. In 1988 Wyoming Asphalt opened a second asphalt plant in Lawrence, Michigan, where we could manufacture asphalt for an additional 30 customers in the Southwest Michigan area. Wyoming Asphalt continues to be family owned and operated to this day. Thank you to our customers for years of support.
